JP Linton
Starting his voice acting career in Toronto on CBC Radio drama, Mr. Linton narrates audiobooks daily in recording studios in Manhattan, NYC, and in his own fully professional home studio. He has recorded over 400 audio books for the Library of Congress, Audible, and other audio book publishers.
Selected recent live announcer engagements range from; the Adrian Awards at the Broadway Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, the Toy of the Year Awards at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in Manhattan, the Fordham University Founders Dinner at the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, to the ISES Big Apple Awards at The Lighthouse/Pier 61, Chelsea Piers, NY, and the Atacand Launch at the San Antonio Convention Center, TX.
Clients for Mr. Linton’s voice-over and industrial narration talents have included: Huggies, Dunkin Donuts, Infiniti Q45 luxury cars, Rigby educational publishers, ABC News, The Wall Street Journal, Glaxo, ProClinica, Profitax, and many others.
In an onstage acting career spanning three decades in the U.S. and Canada, Mr. Linton has performed feature roles on Broadway; Von Strack/Amadeus with David Suchet, McBurney in the Royal National Theatre’s Not About Nightingales with Corin Redgrave, and Dudgeon/The Devil’s Disciple with Lee Richardson.
Some selected favorite roles in the Off-Broadway/Regional theater include; Captain Shotover/Heartbreak House (Huntington Theatre, Boston, MA), Julian/Communicating Doors (Cape Playhouse, MA) with Rue McClanahan, Walter/The Broken Jug (Lincoln Center), Constable of France/Henry V (Stratford, CT) with Christopher Plummer, Lennie/Of Mice and Men (Canada), Petkoff/Arms and the Man (New Jersey Shakespeare), Sir Andrew/Twelfth Night (Canada), Sherlock Holmes/Flights of Devils (Long Island), Malvolio/Twelfth Night (New York) and Bernard in Jules Feiffer’s Hold Me (Canada).
In his long film/tv acting career, JP has played many feature roles in films such as Girlfight, in tv-movies such as Escape From Iran and A Gift of Time, in tv-series from Cagney and Lacey to Law and Order and recurring roles in tv-soap operas from High Hopes to All My Children.
JP lives in Manhattan with his wife, Karin, and their son, Bryant, when he’s home from college.
